Imagine your healthcare marketing as a tree - best way to visualize how to market !
Imagine a tree.
Root:
Your research - this could be as thorough as a marketing plan or it could be limited to knowing your goals, competition and customer.
Trunk:
This is your marketing strategy. Direct mail, ads in newspapers, appearances on radio or TV, internet marketing, blogging, a great looking website, a referral program or a hybrid approach that encompasses all of the strategies I just mentioned.
Branches:
Your customers sit on the branches. You need to know how to shake up the tree so that customers come down. This is why you need to conduct research ( root of the tree ) to find out which marketing strategy (trunk ) will shake up the tree strong enough so that customers decide to come down and join you.
Once your customers come down, you need to implement a referral program and you need to retain your patients for as long as you can.
This is where your internal marketing is helpful - educate everyone involved in your practice about good communication skills and sales skills.
Lastly, you must measure your progress, so survey your patients about their preferences and learn what makes them happy.
Marketing is not difficult as long as you do it in the above order. If you have any more questions, reply to this message and I will help you.
Thanks.
