I was always under the impression that a gym would be more interested in networking with dietitians and massage therapists or chiropractors. I am curious to find out why you are going after doctors. Most doctors who work for managed care HMOs or PPOs are so busy with their patients that they will not see the benefit of this type of partnership.
Another issue is the fact that those doctors want patients with health insurance and there are many uninsured members of all kinds of gyms.
It is difficult to do this networking with doctors unless they are part of a physician group outside of the typical managed care setting would do better.
Maybe holistic practitioners or some other group that accepts direct fee for service...acupuncturists would also do quite well. Spas would also work. In fact I worked at a Spa here in south florida and they would kill to network with gyms. But there you would need to find a common ground ( client for client ).
And yes, HIPAA and confidentiality and non-redisclosure of private information and contact information is also an issue.
So back to my question - whats your motivation behind going after doctors?
